The Columbia Police Department has listed below all of its unsolved homicides.  These cases have remained open and will remain open until they have been solved. It is our personal commitment to seek justice for these victims and their families.  As you browse through these cases, we want you to please understand that in some cases only a small piece of information is needed to solve it.  These cases are not order in any order of importance as all the cases carry the highest level of importance to us.  If you have any information about these cases, please contact the Investigative Division.

ADDRESS OF INCIDENT 5779 Ames Road – Ames Manor Apartments
September 2, 2007, approx. 12:01 AM, officers responded to 5779 Ames Road, Ames Manor Apartments reference shots fired in the area. Once officers arrived they observed one victim lying on the ground in front of building 7 and one victim lying at the top of the stairwell of building 7. Victims were identified as Jason Carroll black male 20 years of age and Derek Spain black male 20 years of age. Both victims died from their injuries. ADDRESS OF INCIDENT 6201 Farrow Road – GazBah
On September 3, 2007, approx. 1:00AM, while on patrol traveling north on Farrow Road approaching Wilkes road an officer with the Columbia Police Department observed a large fight at the GazBah located at 6201 Farrow Road. As the officer turned into the parking he heard shots being fired. As the crowed dispersed he observed a black male approx. 16-17 years of age lying on the ground. Further inspection of the victim revealed that the victim was injured. Victim was later identified as 13 year old Lakavis Hennicks. Mr. Hennicks died from his injuries. ADDRESS OF INCIDENT 2911 Two Notch Road – McDonald’s
On September 17, 2008, approx. 10:45PM, Kevin Antwan Taylor was in the drive through at McDonalds on 2911 Two Notch Road. A vehicle blocked the victim in from the front and unknown subjects fired a weapon from a second vehicle passing the victim’s vehicle in the drive through. The suspects shot into the victim’s vehicle killing him. Suspects then left in an unknown direction. ADDRESS OF INCIDENT 100 Ripplemyer – 33-F Bethel Bishop Apartments
On February 3, 2009, approx. 1:19PM, Units from the Columbia Fire and Police Department responded to building 33 Bethel Bishop Apartments reference smoke coming from apartment F. Once entry was made units found Eboney Sade-Williams dead inside the apartment. If anyone has any information leading to the subject(s) that committed this crime please contact Inv. A. ADDRESS OF INCIDENT 119 Isaac Street – Private Residence
On May 3, 2009, approx/ 10:35 PM, an unknown subject forced his way in to the residence of Tryon Eichelberger at 119 Isaac Street and assaulted him. Mr. Eichelberger later died from his injuries. ADDRESS OF INCIDENT 1004 Pine Street – Private Residence
On August 8, 2009, approx. 12:40AM, Reginald Lamont Johnson was killed during an attempted armed robbery at his residence 1004 Pine Street. Several male subjects dressed in black were seen running away from the scene at time of the incident. ADDRESS OF INCIDENT 1211 Taylor Street – Parking Lot
On February 03, 2009, approx. 08:30 PM, Joey Robert Haire was found by responding Columbia Police officers at the location following a 911 call. Haire told police that he had been knocked to the ground and robbed. He was beaten at the time of the robbery. Haire was transported to the hospital and later died from complications from his injuries received during the assault.
