The
Organized Crime and Narcotics Unit (OCN) is responsible for
investigating vice, organized crime, illegal drugs, and conducting
intelligence related to such activities.
The function of OCN, as it relates to vice, is to provide enforcement of
activities associated with prostitution, gambling, illegal use and sale
of controlled substances, illegal alcohol sales and the
distribution/sale of pornographic materials.
The Sergeant in charge of OCN is responsible for coordinating and
overseeing vice control and enforcement. He reports to the Captain of
the Criminal Investigations Unit.
The
Columbia Police Department is committed to combating organized crime and
vice activities. All Department members are responsible for recognizing,
observing and reporting actions/incidents related to organized crime
and/or vice incidents. |
